Red Raspberry Leaf Tea Triple Berry Smoothie Recipe
Lately things have been really heating up around here because summer is now in full swing where I live and it is hot outside. So I decided to cool off with a smoothie. This smoothie has become my new favorite to make and it is packed with nutrients and things that are great for me and for managing my PCOS.
This smoothie is something I came up with because I was trying not only to cool off but also to sneak in extra cups of red raspberry leaf tea so I didn't have to drink so many and it worked perfectly. So let's get started making the smoothie.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup frozen raspberries
1/3 cup frozen strawberries
1/3 cup frozen blueberries*
1/2 cup of your favorite yogurt (I used regular vanilla yogurt)
1 cup (8oz) of red raspberry leaf tea that has steeped at least 10 minutes
*(If it is too thin i will add more blueberries because it makes the smoothie turn more purple which is my favorite color and they are tasty.)
Now that you have all of the ingredients together you just add in all of your berries and your yogurt and half of the tea and turn on the blender to get things started. Then slowly start adding more using the little pour area on the lid (you know that little plastic piece that comes off the lid right in the center) until you have added in all of the tea. Now just run the blender until everything is incorporated. If the smoothie looks a little too thin add in some more of your favorite frozen fruit a little at a time to thicken it up.
If you want you can make this same recipe with fresh fruit just be sure to add about 1/2 cup of of ice to make it good and cold. Now that everything is all blended up together and at the consistency that you like you are all set to enjoy the delicious smoothie and cool off. Just grab a straw and enjoy.
If you would like to see a video demonstration of this recipe click here to head over to my YouTube channel.
This smoothie is easy to make and works great for breakfast or as a sweet treat that won't ruin your healthy eating efforts. Let me know if you make this smoothie in the comment section below. Enjoy.

Capture Your 365 ~ Day 159
Today I am empowering myself with more knowledge about PCOS by hitting the books at the library. There are so many things that I want to learn about and the best way for me to do it is to simply dive into a stack of books. I love being a bookworm.
I have some great new videos planned and I want to be sure that I have all my information solid before sharing my thoughts and experiences.

30 Day NO Coke Challenge ~ Could you handle it?
Earlier this year I decided to take my health back into my own hands and did really well losing just over 20 pounds which for me is equivalent to someone else loosing say 60 pounds. I have managed to keep 15 of it of which is another huge thing for me because in the past when I have lost weight it hasn't ever been for very long tends to just come right back on pretty quickly. So this healthier eating and healthier me thing that I did earlier in the year was before the handfasting vow renewal that my husband and I did back in April, because besides wanting to be healthier I wanted to look healthier as well so that I had a nice healthy glow for our big day.
Besides seeing the weight loss I was able to see the benefits of my hard work in other areas of my life, specifically, the return of my monthly menstrual cycles which was another major achievement because this year was the first year in five years where I was actually having a cycle each month.
This month however I noticed something rather upsetting...I didn't have a cycle...and I am not pregnant. Noticing this was a huge wake up call because at least to me it means that my unhealthy eating is now reversing the progress that I have made with my PCOS. So I have decided to do something about it. What am I going to do about you might be wondering well...
As you might have gathered from the photo above, am going to be doing a 30 day NO Coke Challenge. If yo want to learn more about how this challenge is going to work check out my new video over on my YouTube channel.
Could you make it 30 days? Let me know in the comment section below.
