Ostara Themed Games - (could be Easter games too!)

So this time of year we all want to have fun games for the kids. I was in charge this year of putting together some fun games for the kids besides the traditional egg hunt. This time of year a lot of focus is put on the bunny so I cam up with two games with the help of some Pintrest inspiration. However the Pintrest inspiration was just pinned photos of a finished product with no tutorials on how to replicate what I saw.....So I did some searching and have created a tutorials for you. Each of them are their own post and are all linked conveniently right here in this post.

Now the first game I came up with as just a seasonal change on the traditional duck duck goose game. We did Bunny Bunny ....Rabbit and instead of the stink pot we went to the carrot patch. Cute right?

We had several other cute games for the kids.
We had a Pin the Tail on the Bunny game
I also made carrot bean bags for a bean bag toss game.
I also made a Bunny Face to throw the carrot bean bags through.

Well that is about it. Throw in a well organized egg hunt and you have yourself a fun filled time celebrating Ostara (could also be used for Easter). I hope that you find these little tutorials helpful. Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any questions and of course letting me know if you enjoyed them. Hope that you all have a wonderful Spring Season. Ostara Blessings and Happy Easter.

Bunny Face

Okay so to go with the carrot bean bags I made a bunny face for them to be thrown through. The children were able to feed the bunny his carrots. Here is how I did it.

Bunny Face

Materials

  • construction paper
  • permanent marker
  • poster board
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • glue
  • box

  1. Step one: draw a bunny face with pencil first on your poster board
  2. Cut out pieces of construction paper for your ears, nose, and eyes.
  3.  Trace you pencil outline with your permanent marker so that you can see the bunny head.
  4. Cut out the mouth. Make sure you make this large so that small children have a better chance of getting it in the bunny's mouth.
  5. Glue on the eyes and inside of ears and nose to the poster board. Allow to dry completely before using.
  6. HAVE A BLAST !!

This is what mine looked like.

From here we just taped it to a chair so that it was sturdy enough for the kids to throw the bean bags through but you could tape wooden dowels to the sides and stick it in the yard. For us it was raining so this made it easy for a rainy day Ostara (or Easter) activity
