Today was a really difficult day for me but also a good day. Today Joey, my brothers, and as many of my family members as possible came together to honor Mom's wishes to have her ashes scattered at her favorite spot to relax, and hang out. It was at one of her favorite vacation spots from when she was younger. So we found a beautiful waterfall to take her ashes. Somehow what started as a very emotional day ended with laughter as we explored the surrounding area and shared some of our favorite stories about Mom. It was not at all like I expected it to be but then again that kind of sounds like Mom which I find very fitting.
